Lines & wrinkles consultations in Maidenhead

Start with understanding.

Lines are a normal part of a changing face. A line that appears when you smile or frown can raise different questions from a crease visible at rest. Skin texture, facial proportions and previous procedures also matter, so a treatment name is not a diagnosis.

At The Institute of Skin, we discuss what you have noticed, how long it has concerned you and what you would like to understand. Your assessment considers facial movement and skin condition alongside your health history, medicines and previous treatments.

You do not need to choose a procedure before booking. Our Harley Street-trained specialist in medical aesthetics explains the options, their limitations and whether further assessment is needed. You can decide to wait or have no treatment.

Clear choices

What we discuss

Every appointment includes an assessment of suitability. Your plan and costs are confirmed before you decide.

01

Your concerns

Tell us where you notice changes and what you would like to understand about them.

02

Your options

Discuss skin care and any appropriate treatment options, including their limitations and alternatives.

03

Your decision

Understand suitability, risks, recovery, costs and follow-up before deciding whether to proceed.

The assessment guides the choice

Different concerns. Different conversations.

These options address different concerns and are discussed only when appropriate. A consultation may lead to advice, further assessment or no procedure.

Skin care & facials

Discuss your routine, sensitivity and whether a facial fits your priorities. A facial has a different purpose from a treatment aimed at facial volume or movement.

Skin texture

Microneedling and chemical peels may be discussed for selected texture concerns. Their suitability, recovery and risks differ; neither is automatically the right choice for a line you can see.

Skin quality

Skin boosters are another conversation about skin quality, with product-specific evidence and limitations. They are not interchangeable with fillers or a substitute for assessment.

Volume & facial proportions

When a fold relates to volume or facial structure, the discussion may include dermal filler. Filler has its own risks and does not address every type of line.

Before you decide

Assessment before decisions.

A consultation does not guarantee that treatment will be offered. If a prescription-only option is considered, a separate assessment by an appropriately qualified prescriber is required. Your medical history, medicines and individual circumstances guide that decision.

Your questions

A little more clarity.

What should I book for lines and wrinkles?

Choose a consultation. You do not need to decide on a treatment beforehand. We will discuss your concerns and whether any available option is suitable.

Does a consultation mean I will have treatment?

No. You may decide to wait, seek another opinion or have no treatment. A prescription-only option, if considered, requires assessment by an appropriately qualified prescriber.

What should I bring to my appointment?

Bring details of medicines, allergies, relevant health conditions and previous aesthetic treatments. Let the clinic know about any recent procedure or planned treatment elsewhere.

Will the costs be explained before I decide?

Yes. The proposed plan, any further assessment and the associated costs are explained before you choose whether to proceed.

Can I discuss forehead lines, frown lines and lines around my eyes?

Yes. These are concerns you can bring to a consultation at our Maidenhead clinic. We consider how the lines appear at rest and with expression, your skin and your priorities. The same approach will not suit every area or person.

Can I book a consultation without committing to a procedure?

Yes. Choose a consultation in the online booking portal. Booking is an opportunity to discuss your options; it is not a commitment to treatment or a guarantee that a particular option will be offered.

Will I have treatment at the first appointment?

Do not assume that treatment will take place at your first visit. Assessment, time to consider the information or a further appointment may be needed. Let us know about an event or travel plans when booking so we can discuss timing.

Where is the Maidenhead clinic, and can I park?
